Terms of Service

Welcome to RedLite GreenLite. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

RedLite GreenLite is a mobile application that allows you to share your real-time availability status (Available, Busy, or Do Not Disturb) with friends you have mutually connected with in the app. The service includes optional features such as calendar-based status sync, push notifications, and contact-based friend discovery.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use RedLite GreenLite. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

3. Account and Authentication

You may create an account using Apple Sign In, Google Sign-In, or phone number authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for abusive purposes.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app to harass, stalk, or monitor another person without their consent
• Create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to interact with the app
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose

5. User Content

You may set a custom status message visible to your friends. You are solely responsible for the content of your status messages. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that contain abusive, threatening, or otherwise objectionable content.

6. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the app, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Contacts and Data Access

Certain features require device permissions (contacts, calendar, notifications). These permissions are always optional — the app functions without them. When granted, data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. You may revoke any permission at any time through your device settings.

8. Availability and Uptime

We strive to keep RedLite GreenLite available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The app may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

9. Intellectual Property

RedLite GreenLite and all associated branding, design, and code are the property of RedLite GreenLite. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without our written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or that your status will always be delivered in real-time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RedLite GreenLite and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid to use it (if any).

12. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings > Delete Account). Upon deletion, your profile, status, friend connections, and all associated data are permanently removed from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
